Objectives
- investigate the type of intervention promoted/generated by states in order to mediate and conciliate criminal and/or community conflicts
- verify the effects that this intervention mechanisms have got on the restriction/enlargement of the social control net
- verify which are the main effects of this intervention mechanisms on the respect of victims’ and delinquents’ human rights, both in and out of the criminal procedure
- give opinion about the inclusion of this kind of systems in the local, autonomous, national and European legislations
- analyse if basic principles of conflict solution ethics are truly respected by mediation systems currently in force
- study means of solving criminal conflicts on a juridical-criminal sociology basis
- monitor the fulfilment of European recommendations about conflicts solution in the criminal and communitarian fields
